We are hiring for kitchen staff!

Duties for hired kitchen staff will involve:

  • Rolling and cutting out dough

  • Frying doughnuts

  • Frosting doughnuts

  • Washing dishes and general cleaning duties

Duties may vary from day-to-day depending on what is required.

Expectations include:

  • Closely following recipes and instruction

  • Setting up and cleaning up work area

  • Efficient time-management

  • Prioritizing multiple tasks

  • Proper storage, labeling, and use of all food supplies

  • Ensuring overall cleanliness and health standards are being met

Qualities:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a dynamic, fast paced environment

  • Ability to stay calm and confident during busy times

  • Ability to work well independently and as a team

  • Exceptional integrity and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Formal commercial kitchen experience is not required, but commercial or personal kitchen/baking experience is an asset

  • Culinary/baking/pastry arts degree/diploma is an asset

  • Knowledge of yeast dough an asset

  • Health Unit Food Handler’s Certificate an asset

  • Physical ability to stand long hours; reach, bend, stoop; and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

  • Weekend availability is required
